Alexander's Eagle Scout Project Food4Kids

Date: May 13-14, 2023

Around 50 friend and families of Troop 60, Troop 252, Troop 49, Troop 4100, Troop 4060, Order of the Arrow Sikhs Mox Lamonti Lodge, the Cedar Way PTO and our local community pulled together to collect food donations from the local community at the QFC on Mother's Day weekend for the Cedar Way Food Bank.  Altogether, we were able to collect over a ton of food and enough cash donations to feed families in need from now through the summer.

Thanks everyone for making all of this happen on Mother's Day weekend and the HOTTEST weekend of the year with temperatures close to 90 degrees!

A lot of patrons stopped and talked to us about Scoutings.  A LOT of the Mountlake Terrace community had familiy in Scouts.

We reorganized and repacked food throughout the weekend.  It was a never ending task, which was a good one to have.

We were constantly loading up vehicles full of food.  Luckily, the School was just around the corner.

Just over 2,000 pounds of food was collected for families in need at Cedar Way Elementary.  Food and cash donations collected will feed our families in need through the summer.
