Troop 60 is planning a 10 mile hike to Union Lake.  

Besides Lake Union itself, there are several sites we look forward to checking out.  We plan to start at Gasworks Park and take the Burke Gilman Trail to the University of Washington Campus.  We'll head back to Lake Union via the University Bridge and tour Eastlake.  The I-5 Colonnade has stairs under I5 and takes us towards Volunteer Park.  After checking out the east side of I-5, we'll head back to Lake Union traveling south to MOHAI.  We'll travel north along Westlake and cross the Freemont Bridge.  Several iconic sites await us there to include a giant rocket, a statue of Lenin and a giant Troll under a bridge.  Hopping back on the Burke Gilman, we'll return to Gasworks Park and decide what else we might want to explore while on Lake Union.
