The votes are in and Troop 60 has selected the Palouse to Cascades Trail as our High Adventure Route.
We have a lot of work ahead of us and will start reserving camp sites immediately.
As a backup, we plan to ride the Olympic Discovery Trail should weather, wildfires or reservations on the Palouse prove to be undesirable.
We have broken down the Palouse to Cascades trail into 6 sections. These sections range from 30-50 miles and are relatively flat for the most part since if follows a railroad route.
Depending on what the crew is up for, all of these sections can be shortened or lengthened per the desire of the crew. A length of 30-50 miles a day is reasonable for Scouts on High Adventure. With a supported trip, such as ours, we can shorten rides if as needed or desired should a day turn out harder than expected. If Scouts as a whole want to do more, we can extend most rides.
