Vertical World North
A variety of bouldering gyms are available throughout the state, with a high concentration in the Puget Sound area. Padded bouldering floors makes falls less likely to result in injury - but are NOT injury proof. You will need to sign a waiver to use these gyms and understand the risks participants are exposed to.

Bouldering Project - Seattle University District
Location: East of the Cascade Mountains, Leavenworth is a major bouldering destination with high-quality granite.
Areas: You can find bouldering in Icicle Creek Canyon and Tumwater Canyon.
Icicle Creek: Includes the Mad Meadows area, which has about 80 boulder problems.
Tumwater Canyon: Offers more bouldering opportunities on high-quality granite.
Location: Near the town of Gold Bar in the Skykomish River drainage.
Areas: Contains the popular Clearcut Boulders, with good climbs on granite.
Rock: Known for its granitic rock formations.
Location: Near Bellingham, this park features the Lost Ledge area.
Rock: Climbers can find high-quality bouldering on sandstone boulders along the Chuckanut Mountain escarpment.
Location: Off of Miller River Road, near the town of Skykomish.
Areas: Includes spots like the Morpheus, Paradise, and Prospect Boulders, all on granitic rock.
In addition to its popular trad and sport climbing, Index has bouldering opportunities, with nearly 200 boulder problems listed on Mountain Project.
The peninsula has some solid bouldering.
Lake Crescent: Features dozens of roadside sandstone conglomerate problems.
Sehome Hill (Bellingham): Offers some boulder problems on sandstone, and is historically significant for Bellingham climbers.
Chuckanut Mountain Escarpment (Larrabee State Park): Provides beachside bouldering on sandstone.
