A Scout is Helpful

We have a long standing relationship with the City of Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood for service.  Troop 60 has completed countless projects to beautify and improve our local community.

There are too many types of service projects Troop 60 has been involved in to list here.

Community Service

We help our local community because it is the right thing to do.  Scouting has always been about teaching citizenship and a big part of citizenship is giving back to the community and making it a better place for all of us.

Veterans

Scouts honor veterans to show gratitude for their service and sacrifice, and to teach respect and remembrance.

Veterans Day Washelli 2023

On Veterans Day and Memorial Day of each year, Troop 60 Scouts attend multiple memorials, volunteer as honor guard and place flags for those who have fallen in defense of our nation.

50-Miler Award

The 50-Miler Award requires 10-hours of service on during or after your outing.  This is a significant commitment, but one that helps your crew restore your trail or waterway and to allow for sustainable adventures to come as so that others can also enjoy the outdoors.

It is challenging setting up 10-hours of service on many of our High Adventures trips, so we may opt to complete some or all of those service ours improving parks and trails nearby.
