Resident Camps

"A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room."

 Lord Robert Baden-Powell

There are a number of camps available to us for Summer Camps and off season use.  Camps allow for that special Scouting experience that only happens at camp.  Teams are built, friendships are made, and troops turn into cohesive units.

For new Scouts, Summer camp is where Scouts fall in love with Scouting and decide to stay in the program.  They experience new adventures and challenges, learn to depend on themselves and their fellow Scouts and just have fun!

Each camp has its own unique amenities and activities so Scouts get to try out different things each year.  The majority of Merit Badges earned by Scouts are generally earned at summer camp each year.

Troop 60 attends summer camp as a troop each year, usually for a week sometime between mid July and mid August.  Some camps are nearby, while others will take us out of State.
