The Norwegian national jamboree, “Speidernes Landsleir”, is held at Gjøvik between 5.-12. July 2025. The camp is located in an idyllic area with a view towards Gjøvik city and Norway's largest lake; Mjøsa. All guides (Scoutmasters) and Scouts (age 10-15) and rovers (16-25) are invited to the camp as participants.
During the week we will experience lots of new and exciting scouting-adventures, such as hikes in the beautiful Innlandet-region, culinary experiences with the camp menu, campfires with sing-alongs of the jamboree-song, and everything else that belongs on a Norwegian national jamboree.
The camp opens and closes with a campfire at the main stage, and during the camp all guides, scouts, and rovers will take a overnight hike in the area surrounding the camp. There will be great variation in the hiking-levels and routes, and there will be hikes for every level of hiking-experience. No one should be hungry at camp, and the camp menu is developed to be both tasty, creative, and sustainable.
When everyone has eaten, we are ready to create new memories at camp. All ages are going to experience a exciting and fun program activities. There will be camp-kindergarten, program for scouts, rovers, and leaders. When not attending a program activity, you can take a stroll through the plaza, enjoy a coffee, and make some new friends while watching the entertainment on the stage.
Rovers at camp are invited to sleep in their own rover-area at the campsite with the rovers from their group. The rover area will have its own program, a cafe, and great vibes. All Rovers will spend one night out in the wilderness away from camp, experiencing Norwegian nature first hand on a hike with their rover-group.
All rovers at camp have to lend a hand as staff as Roverhelp, using some hours during the week to help out. If the rovers travel with a scout-group, they can of course sleep at the group camp area, and still participate in the rover program and activities.
There’s lots to do! Getting around is easy. All public transportation itineraries can be found on Entur. We recommend arriving here early to explore the bustling city of Oslo, the Olympic activities at Lillehammer or maybe explore the mountains while taking the Bergen Railway Line!
You can also use Visit Norway to find places you want to see. Our partner Visit Østlandet has lots of recommendations for the region surrounding the camp.
