Packing List NJ 2023 site

Personal Gear:

• Duffle bag-this may be provided by council-more to come 2’x2’x3’

• Eating kit (plate, bowl, and spoke)

• Sleeping bag-lightweight in stuff sack with 30 degree rating

• Reusable lunch bag

• 2 -1-liter water bottle (our day packs may have camel pack system)

• Shelf-stable food products to support any dietary needs as needed

• 2 bath towels

• 2 washcloths

• Flashlight and batteries

• Sunscreen

• Toiletry kit (keep small)

• Non-aerosol insect repellant

• Day pack (will be provided by council)

• Females:  Feminine hygiene products as needed

• Smart phone as allowed.

Clothing Recommendations

• Class A-min of 2

• Good-broken in hiking boots

• Rain gear-light (Not NW rain gear)

• Lightweight lace-up sports shoes

• Jacket or sweatshirt

• Scout cap-provided

• 7 pairs of underwear

• Sleep clothes-2 pair

• BSA uniform shorts/longs 3-4 sets

• Scout/Jamobree t-shirts/polo/activity shirts 4-5

• BSA Scout belt-1

• BSA uniform socks-3-4 pair

• Other socks 3 pair

• Hiking sockes 5-6 pairs
