Such an amazing outing, we have done it twice! Half the troop hikes the Baker Lake trail, 16 miles, and half the troop paddles 16 miles. We both stop at the Silver Creek campground for elk burgers, fries and grilled asparagus. Unfortunately, the weather on Baker Lake is unpredictable, but white caps and scouts don't mix, so we cut our paddle short. Safety first!
