Highlights included ridiculously hot, sunny weather, a cool dip in an alpine lake for some of the scouts, fresh ripe blueberries, a campfire in front of an old miner's cabin with a classic story of gold fever ("The Hand!"), and an early morning scramble to beat the heat.
